La Sommità Relais, a 5-star hotel, associated to Relais & Chateaux since 2016, is a XVI century historic residence, hidden in the maze of dazzling white alleys of the charming historic center of Ostuni, the White City, an ideal starting point for discovering this area of Puglia. Thanks to the suggestions of our concierge service, you can enjoy authentic experiences in the surrounding fairytale villages: Alberobello with its trulli, Locorotondo with its bas-reliefs and many other enchanting landscapes in Valle d'Itria and the beautifull towns along to the Adriatic Coast that you can discover during your stay.
We are located on the highest point of the village where the Castle of Ostuni was located, which dates back to the XII century. This is why the name "La Sommità". The ancient walkways, once used to spot danger from the sea, are now panoramic terraces from which to enjoy a beautiful sunset in a glass of Apulian wine.
The Orange Grove, our Spanish Garden is an exclusive place where the silence is interrupted only by the cooing of pigeons and the sound of the bells of the Cathedral that mark the lazy passing of the hours during the hot summers. The Cielo Restaurant delights the most refined palates by enhancing local products in a perfect balance in the unreal atmosphere of the ancient stone vaults supported by the light of contemporary design lamps.
